I use the Beretta due to the location of the safety - in front of the trigger. I grew up using Winchester shotguns, Models 12, 1300, 1400, and 120. I also exclusively use for grouse and pheasant a Browning B-80 (copy of the Beretta A303, precursor to the 391 series). While I like many of the Remington, Benelli, and Browning shotguns, for bird hunting, I can't "instinctively" push the safety off to get a quick shot off. I looked at the Benelli line and liked how they fit and have shot them on the skeet/trap and sporting clays ranges. Either of your choices should satisfy your needs.
