Benchmark or IMR 4885

I have bother and am going to load up some more 60 Grain Nosler Partitions. I have loaded 4895 with success on other .223 loads, but just bought the Benchmark and have not loaded with it yet. Any preferences? Originally I planned to use the Benchmark for more volume loading of 55 grain generic loads, as it should meter much better.

I've not used benchmark and the main reason that is so is the projected velocities were less then i wanted . I generally can't get the velocity the manuals claim so if a powder is projeting even less then i need i know i'll likely end up having even much less then needed .

My new powder i have high hopes for is AR- comp

I tend to use a lot of IMR 4895 in 223 since I usually get the best accuracy with it. But you are going to be compressed with most loads. Benchmark would be a better fill % to try. I find the Nosler website data to be very useful since it show fill percentage. Try this and click on the 60-62 grain tab at the top.

Hmmm, about a grain less than listed on Hodgdon website. I am leaning toward IMR 4895 as I know it will shoot well and save the Benchmark for other loads.

I haven't shot any 60 grain bullets through my AR but this is a 10 round mag with a Vortex 1x6 strike eagle at 1oo yards with 23.5 grains of benchmark and 75 grain hornady. All metered through a Lee powder measure loaded on single stage press.
