Bench grinder for Giraud Tri Way trimmer

Both of those seem to exceed the max speed listed in the Giraud manual, at top speed. Not sure what the lower speeds are.
I use a Trim-It II which is similar, but use it in a drill press where I can vary the speed with its belt drive.

Hope that helps.

The larger of the two says the max rom is 4000 which is a bit higher than Giraud recommends. The smaller is variable from 0 up to 10,000 controlled by a simple knob.

Are you sure either has a chuck large enough to accommodate the Giraud trimmer?
HF sells a drill press for about $68. A bit more expensive.

Ok, better way to go if you have a vice (or get one, everyone should have a vice).

Take a drill, I used my corded one but Cordless as well.

Turn the drill upside down, carefully clamp it in the vice.

Use the latch to lock it on speed and

You now have a motorized Gerard.

Have to look but no more than 1200 rpm and works like a peach.

My brother has the motorized Gerard and other than cheaper caliber changes, he has nothing on me for speed.

note: If I knew how many calaibers I would be doing I would have gotten the motorized Geard, limits in the Tri Trimmers and I have 7.5 Swiss that they did not, wound up with a Trim It II, ok, a bit costly, not as good as Gerard.
