Belton repeating flintlock

During the American Revolution, John Belton proposed to Congress a means of increasing the firepower of the individual soldier by means of a repeating flintlock. Said flintlock would have a detachable magazine tube that was loaded like a Roman candle. The lock would slide down along the tube such that it lined up with each touchhole. This being the age of hand crafted firearms, there was an issue with gas sealing and intense labor to produce one firearm. I was unaware of any in existence until this video came out from the Royal Armouries in Leeds, UK.

Interesting! Another one of those "stack the loads" ideas. Seems each shot would lose a bit more pressure by escaping gasses through all the previous flash holes.
