belt mountain pin

earshot

today i received my belt mountain pin,and when i inserted the pin ,it would not seat all the way. there's about 1/4" gap.i got the pin to move in and out of the hole , but it seems just a tad too karge to completely seat.

i called midway and they referred me to belt mountain, but he has not yet returned my call. i am considering sending it back.

the one positive i was able to clean under the ejector rod housing and the pin's slot and now i know i should clean these areas at least 3 times a year.

does anybody out there have any suggestions to get the pin to seat properly?
thanks,dan.

Aren't they oversize? I think they have instructions on taking them down with sandpaper.

I put one in a SAA once and had to take it down to make it fit.

it is a ruger blackhawk 6 1/2" 41 mag new model.the more i work it the easier
it slides in and out of housing but it will not seat all the way.the old pin is even easier to move since cleaning the hole and housing the pin rides thru.

the gentleman at belt mountain returned my call, and he suggest to
chuck the pin in my drill, and use emory paper on it till it seated all the way.
it worked and the pin is installed on my blackhawk.hopefully i can give it a workout this weekend.
