Before the Beretta Vertec, there was...

The T75K1. Yep, a Beretta clone made by a foriegn manufacturer that seems to have some of the features if the Vertec. Yet I pulled this photo off a website over a year ago. Beefed up slide, flatter grip, a very thin rail system, skeleton hammer, etc. If memory serves me correctly, it is made by a Chinese company. I have a small collection of odd firearm pics and came across this tonight. Thought you Beretta fans would get a kick out of it.

Here is the South African version(s) made by Denel under the name Vektor. I know a former South African soldier who swears by the Z88 (equivelant of the M9). He has a Beretta 92FS now and says you can hardly tell the difference, other than the open barrel versus the enclosed slide on most Vektor models. The chinese model on the other hand (especially the compact) looks like the fit & finish is poor, and I would guess questionable metalurgy.
