Bedroom HD shotgun cabinet

Hello all,
Since I stepped out of lurk-mode to answer another post, I thought that I would post a shotgun cabinet I completed a while back for our bedroom. The cabinet is made of part of my curly cherry stash that I am slowly replacing all of our store bought bedroom furniture with. The cabinet hangs at the foot of our bed.

The bank of drawers is a false front that folds down to expose the interior.

And a view of the figure in the cherry, if you're into that sort of thing:

The green lining was done with flocking powder instead of felt fabric. It seems to give a smoother overall surface without wrinkles.
I know that the lock on it would not keep a thief out for more than a few moments, but it works well for when we have guests in the house.

Looks real nice. I remember seeing a coffee table that was based on a simular concept. Lift the top and you had room for three long-guns and ammo. Wish had bought it or that I had some wood working ability. Can't even build a bird house.

Looks like you could have done some of the custom woodwork on a Bond car.
