Bedding question

Most epoxies will not stick to the material the stock is made of. You can drill and roughen the stock and put a gob into the recoil lug area, but it will never be really solid.

The older (Butler Creek?) lightning stocks were pretty good, actually. You should be able to free-float the barrel and call it a day.

I have a Model Seven in a modified plastic stock that runs contrary to Scorches experience... But I took out a lot of material and drilled a bunch of holes at different angles (and hogged out the bottom a bit). I used steel-frocked epoxy as well.

The B&C I have was not drop in, despite the marketing claims.

I'd look at the Hogue with the full bed.
