Bedding an M1A Synthetic Stock?

I've never bedded a rifle stock before but have heard that it'll improve the potential accuracy of a rifle. I've also heard that its easy.

Should it be done?
Should I attempt it?
Should it be done to a synthetic stock? Or can it?

Advice? Tips?

Thanks.

The tape is going to show you how to bed an M1A with wood stock. As far as synthetic stock, don't really know how to do that.

You will still need to prep the action in the same way as the wood stock version and you will still need a method of holding the barrel up off the stock ferrule and holding the trigger guard partially closed. Since you don't have the metal stock liner to deal with you will have less work to do. Also you will not need to do any through bedding of the stock.
I have not seen the video but I know Creedmore and they are good folks. You might want to consider The U.S. .30 Caliber Gas Operated Service Rifles A Shop Manual By Jerry Kuhnhausen or some of the other works out there.
IMHO bedding is one of the things that the average M1A owner can undertake with a minimum of expense that will improve accuracy to a measurable amount. I've bedded many a fiberglass stock over the years and they work very well. Please note that a Dremel tool and a steady hand will help. :D

I've got a dremel tool, but how easy is it to botch it and cost myself extra money?

I've got another guy telling me to bed it with steel instead of fiberglass, says its better. Opinions on that?

Ed, Whatever compound you decide to use will require the same prep to the metal parts of your rifle. Any undercuts, indentations etc. that would let the bedding compound take a grip on your action that would not allow an exit is not good for the average shooter! Your friend may be refering to Steel Bed which is an Accraglass product. There are loads of products but the prep to the wood/plastic and the metal will be the same.
