Beavertail for spur hammer??

Does anyone make a beavertail that allows you to use the original spur hammer? I have always liked the look but hate the bite.....

I've been looking, too, but haven't found anything. The original hammer has a great look but the beavertails seemto be made for a commander-style hammer.

Keep your eyes on Brownells as that is surely where it will come from when it does come.

Hmmm... I've always preferred a commander hammer without he beavertail. Less snags, less bulky. These days, one has to really look for an original style commander hammer that isn't just an oversized skeleton spur.

I'm moving this one to Handguns: Semi-Auto.

Thanks for the link Yankee, but you still hae to bob the hammer for those....

I haven't been able to find one anywhere...

dsk, of course everybody knew he meant for a 1911. What other pistol has "beavertails" made for it? And then the "original spur hammer" is another hint.

I have more than one 1911 equipped with the wide spur hammer and flat beavertail GS from King's gun Works. I have not had a set, as of yet, that did not work correctly. And if there was any interference, it would be little work to remove a bit of the hammer and reblue it.
