 I have a new spartan s x s and the front bead site is very small ,it looks like it is pressed on,anyone have any experiance in changing pressed on beads to a red dot or any other front sight ???

Yup.
Chances are if the thing isn't pressed in it's a 3 X 56 threaded shank under the bead.
If your gun has a rib between those barrels you can measure across the flat and possibly find a fiber optic sight that will stand out like a torch in the night.
There are a number of outfits that make fiber optic front sights for shotguns.
There are even small fiber optic 'beads' that will screw in your rib.
Really though. Why are you aiming your shotgun?
Most shooters never even notice the front bead at all.
I once shot skeet for who knows how long with no bead at all. I didn't even notice till someone asked what happened to the bead.

I think shotgun sights, for the most part, are overrated. I lost the bead on one of my pumps a long time ago. I do switch to a rifled barrel with open sights for slugs, but in terms of trap and turkey, the loss of the bead hasn't affected what I hit with it. Maybe just give it a try for a bit unless you really like your front sight?

front bead sight

o.k. well i chose a s x s because i like the feel of a narrower fore grip as oppesed to the deeper o/u fore grip im getting re aquainted with trap & skeet after 50 years hiatus . I noticed that some of the shooters beads on o/u seem to be larger ,i thought that maybe a more visible sight might help in aligning my shots . I did miserably at the range and am trying to see if a brighter sight might be of some help to improve my score . at 69 yrs old i seem to have slowed down some ...

Funny how age slows our bodies down but has little effect on our thinking. I am a 27 year old trapped in a 63 YO body..
