Be part of the solution instead of part of the problem

I typed a quick letter to Senator hatch and mailed it last night. What if all of us e-mailed, called or wrote him to praise him for hi new-found loyalty to the Constitution instead of just griping.

" Thank you for putting the cause of freedom above the interests of yourself and your family by standing up to the overt and evil subversion of our precious liberty currently being waged by our Presidential Administration. The fact that the target is a legitimate industry founded upon one of our Bill of Rights is alarming in and of itself but it cuts much further than this indeed. We risk the peril of transformation from a Constitutional Republic with checks and balances to a legal oligarchy subject to the whims of opinion polls if the antics of the white house continue to go unchecked.

That the will of the people reflects through our electoral systems on a Local, State and Federal level goes without question now or in the future. The public has spoken by selecting the various memebers of the Senate and House of Representatives to lead and govern our National affairs. Please continue your gallant efforts to ensure that this voter-sanctioned imperative does not become the victim of a President and Staff clearly at odds with the very principles from which our cherished system of governance originated.

It is high time that we as a people revisit the concept of personal accountability--------something foreign to the President himself. The tendency to blame inamimate objects instead of individual behavior will do little to solve the challenges that we face. A the end of the day, no matter how many laws surface to control guns, the criminal element will always have them while those that play by the rules will suffer. Thank you for recognizing that the right to keep and bear arms as enumerated in the Constitution is God given with no strings attached. God's speed as you and other members of our Party toil to preserve the way of life that has richly benefited us and past generations."

No, I'm not in love with Hatch but maybye if we stroke him enough, others will get the idea.

I agree, he's as oily as the rest. Not only is it good to stroke him, since he evidently has ambitions beyond the Senate, it wouldn't hurt to let him know we're watching his actions.
