Just a heads up: we've just relaunched Ballistics By The Inch after a major site revamp and the addition of a bunch of new data. Included in this is a pretty extensive testing of ten different .22 ammos (and 20 'real world' .22s) as well as our first investigation of the .223 rifle cartridge.

Full results available here for those who are interested.

Cheers -

Hello Jim:

Thanks for that info on .22 LR ammo,,,
It solidified my personal choice.

Off the subject just a little bit,,,
But can you tell us (me) anything about the Olympic Arms Whitney Wolverine you used in testing.

I've been very curious about this pistol since they came out.

Did you experience any (many?) failures to feed?

Did it have any (many?) ejection problems?

Did any one ammo stand out as working better than the others?,,,
Specifically how well did it perform with the CCI MiniMag round nose bullets?

You would be doing me a great service if you could tell me a bit on how well the guns overall performance was.

I thank you in advance.

Aarond

I don't remember having any problems with the Wolverine, particularly, but it's been 6 months since we shot it. I'm getting together with Jim K and Keith this weekend to do some shooting - and I'll pick their brains on it. Remind me come Tuesday if I don't post something.

I've always thought your website was a great idea and am glad you have put the time and money into it. I am most excited to see that you have broken into the rifle calibers as I don't really shoot pistols.

Thanks for letting us know about your update!
