Bayonet Lug scoots

I got this bayonet lug for my 870. I wore it to the range to see if the bayonet would stay put under recoil. The bayonet stayed attached to the lug, but the lug itself scooted forward on the magazine tube extension after about 10 rounds, so that the bayonet was hanging off the front of the shotgun. Any suggestions (other than 'get a Mossberg 590')? I was thinking maybe some type of grip tape around the magazine tube extension might fix it. Or, I suppose I could have the thing welded to the barrel, but that might ruin the barrel. Maybe I could glue it to the barrel.

I don't know what the hell I was talking about. There's no way to permanently fix the lug to the barrel, because the magazine tube extension has to go on between the barrel and the lug.

Link fixed. The forum won't parse html, so you have to use UBB code (using brackets and slightly different commands, like "URL" instead of "HREF.")

The easier way to create a link is to type the text you want to show, then highlight it and click the button above the text window that looks like an earth with a link of chain. That'll bring up a window for the link target, and you just type in the URL of the page you want to link to. The software will do the rest.
