Bayo on Romanian SKS

The Yugo Mauser came with a bayonet that leaves NO questions about what it was designed for ... VERY SHARP and plenty long! The bayo on the Romanian SKS "looks" like a knife from a distance, but has no sharp edges and has a rounded point ... is this normal ... or has mine been neutered?
Thanks,

Bayonets aren't supposed to be razor sharp. Their job is to poke holes through clothing, gear, bones, then flesh with a lot of force behind the point. So, their point is supposed to be durable, almost like a chisel.

Here's one theory. That Yugo Mauser bayonet is designed for serious hand-to-hand combat. I've got one, and it is indeed very fearsome. With a heavy rifle behind it, it could cut into a soldier like a hot knife through butter. Those were the old days, though. By the time the SKS's were designed, the need for that sort of thing wasn't quite as great. I've seen a lot of folding bayonets on SKS's, and they never seemed to have as much "gravitas" as a Mauser knife bayonet or even the super-long Mosin-Nagant stick-style.
