Bauer .25 question...help needed!

I've got a .25 Bauer and it's a funny little gun. I've got most of the disassembly process down, but when I go to take the slide out of the frame, the locking lugs block to removal. Is this a design feature, flaw in my gun, or something I'm doing wrong? I've watched YouTube videos and in the videos, the barrel slides out without obstruction.

The barrel has to be turned fully to clear the lugs, then remove slide, then turn barrel back and remove from slide.
You have to be doing something wrong, or the gun couldn't have been assembled.
Make sure the magazine is out of the gun. It will block the slide coming off.
