Battle of the Glock Night Sights

Between Meprolight adjustables, Trijicon HD's, XS big dot night sights, and Ameriglow which do you guys like the most for a Glock and why?

I'm personally not interested in the TruGlo sights, they shorten the sight radius too much for my taste and I'm not a fan of fiber optic sights on handguns.

EDIT: And which night sights do you find to also be good sights during daylight, when I'd be doing most of my practice shooting?

Of those listed I like Ameriglo (no w) Pro-IDOT sights. https://www.amazon.com/Ameriglo-Pro-IDOT-Glock-17-Orange/dp/B004YY2T4I

That said I also like fiber optic sights, even TruGlos. The difference in sight radius frankly isn't that much on say a compact to full sized pistol. As for fiber optics in general, I've run the Dawson Precision sights on my G19 through 2500 rounds so far and multiple day long classes where I was in no way gentle to them. They've help up fine with no signs of doing otherwise. Even were the fiber optic rod to fall out the housing itself still works as a sight, just with a small hole in it.

Trijicon HD's. I have them on my Glock 19, M&P Shield and M&P 45. Very good night sights and excellent daytime sights with the large bright orange front sight circle.

I have the Trijicon HD with the orange outline on my G26. I might add that I put it on the front only. That setup really takes your eye to the front sight, day or night.

I've only had the Ameriglo I-Dots on my Glock for a few months, but so far I really like them better than the stock sights. For myself, the I-Dots allow me to find the front sight and proper alignment much faster than the stock sights, day or night (low light really).

I've got Trijicons on two other sidearms and have nothing but praise for them as well.

Can you explain how truglo sights shorten sight radius?

Trij HD if i had to choose between those.

I have 2 with them, 2 with Tru Dot, and 1 with Tru Glow TFO and i the TFO are my favorite and its not even close. Sight radius is a tad shorter but with no negative effects so far. They jump out to my eye no matter what time of day/night better than any other sight ive owned.

On a CCW thats extremely important imho. Probably will just point and shoot with stress so high. The only way i might use my sights is if they automatically jump out to me and those do at anytime.

I prefer Ameriglo CAP for my Glocks. The green really pops for my colorblind eyes, and I also pick up the square shape faster even than XS Big dots.

I'd say Trijicon... very happy with every night sight that I've owned from them. No experience with the HDs, being I prefer the regular three dots.

The length of the front sight is very long and it decreases the distance between the rear sight and the rear of the front sight.

Well, that's a pretty minuscule "stretch"; the slightly shorter distance to the rear sight with the Truglo as compared to the slightly longer distance to the rear sight with a smaller front sight is probably inconsequential in a practical sense but gaining more relevance as the barrel gets shorter.

Oh, forgot to mention that these sights would be for a Glock 27. So, when I say the Truglo's shorten the sight radius, I had a Glock 27 in mind when I say that. For a Glock 17 or 34? Yeah, they'd be just fine.

I just didn't want to make this thread specific to night sights for the subcompact Glock's.

I have installed a few sets of the Truglo Tritium pro sights and I am impressed with them.
I feel they compare favorably with the Trijicon HDs for half the price.
These are the non fiber optic sights with the serrated U notch rear sight and the large white insert ring front sight.

I recently bought a Glock 43 & it came with front & rear night sights installed directly from Glock. I'm no expert and don't know what the name of the sights are, but I do know that I really like them during daylight & absolutely like them in the dark. I could not ask for anything better or ignorance is bliss. I'm in Bliss!
