I came across a set of barrel rings at Champion Shooters Supply. The clamp to the barrel, and have drilled and tapped holes. So you put the rings on, then the scope mount, then scope rings, then scope? Does this work good, will it all stay put? And will it work on a Ruger Mk II, Gov. Target Model? I do not own a set od calipers, so what size is the barrel on the Mk II Gov. Target model? Any help would be great. Thanks all.
