Revolver cylinders have two ends: front and rear. The front of the cylinder is the end toward the muzzle. The cartridges are loaded into the rear of the cylinder.
Mr Diamond D Leather, in the youtube video link provided uses ambiguous terminology. He actually called the rear point of measurement on the semiauto the "end of the slide". Not so. It is the rear end of the barrel, also called the "breech face", and includes the chamber, but does not include the entire length of the slide. Watch it again.
A semiauto barrel includes the cartridge chamber (singular).
A revolver barrel does not include the chamber, actually chambers(plural). A revolver's chambers are contained in the cylinder.
