Does anyone have HS6 load data for loading Barnes 80gr tacxp bullets in 9mm and 357 sig? The Barnes bullet is 0.535" in length which is very close to Hornady 115gr XTP at 0.538".

I was going to try 6.2gr HS6 at OAL 1.075 for 9mm and 9.0gr HS6 at 1.135 for 357 sig.

Any data or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for the links.

The Hodgdon data seems ridiculous with the bullet being seated over a 0.1" further than whats possible for 9mm, especially since the Hornady round is basically the same length. But bullet shape does determine seat depth at times.

I find going from 1.025 to 1.075 at OAL 0.750 gives available inside case length 9.4mm to 10.67mm. That translates to a case volume increase of 598m^3 to 678m^3. If 5.7 gr of HS6 is max at 600m^3, than at 680m^3 6.4 gr of HS6 should be max, which just so happens Hornady shows for their 115 XTP.

Looks like I should try 5.8, 6.0 amd 6.2 grains of HS6 and see what pressure signs I get. Thanks again for the info. Had to rant to get my thoughts down.
