Barnaul 9x18 ammo - opinions?

At www.makarov.com/orderammo.html I found some Barnaul 9x18 JHP ammo for sale - $115.00 for 1000 rounds. Anyone out there have any experience with this stuff (i.e., is it ok or should I run like hell in the other direction )??

I'd be curious about this stuff myself. If Karl has it for sale on his site, it's probably decent. If you get any, please post some info. on how it performed. So far, all I've shot out of my Makarov has been FMJ, but I want to get some HP for defensive use.

The Barnaul ammo is made to the same standards and specs as Wolf (TCW) and all other 9x18 manufactured in Russia. It's reliable and effective for practice or self defense if you're going to use ball ammo. I prefer CorBon JHPs for defense though.
