Barami Hip Grips

Anyone use these?

Its hard to tell from the pics on the website just how deep the clip is. Does it hold the gun pretty securely?

Anyone have a pic of these installed or (now I am really stretching it) a pic showing how they look when clipped on to your pants? I would assume the guns rides very low -- mostly inside the pants. Almost like a deep concealment rig.

They sound like a great solution -- even if they would be just butt ugly on a Taurus 85 UL!

I have them installed on a 640.

I feel it's pretty secure compared to Mexican carry.

I don't have any pics, but the gun does ride very low...so much so that if clipped on the pants rather than belt, less than an inch of the butt is showing. IMHO, a good deep concealment setup...though rapidly getting a good grip is a bit more difficult since it rides so low.

Does that help?

I find the slim plastic grips perfect up to .38 +P for me. They don't work well for me with .357 Mag...except maybe the 110 gr. Win USAs.

This is a Hip Grip on a J-frame

Great for concealment

Not great for fast draw

Unless you have a hammerless model, I'd recommend removing the hammer spur. Snags easily.

Thanks! It never ceases to amaze me how you can get an answer to jsut about anything on this forum -- even with pictures!

Joelno -- Do you find the grip to keep the gun pretty secure?

I guess I need to get one -- I just wish they had more of a boot grip type shape.

The best price I have seen is about $24 shipped.

Very secure

The groove is plenty deep-I've never had a bit of a problem with the gun moving around

Be aware that it's made of very cheap(looking) plastic. Doesn't affect the function, but I for one sure appreciate a nice looking set of grips.

But it's a carry gun, and the grips serve their purpose very well.

BTW, the gun in the picture is a square butt. Yours may be slightly different.
