I have a bar in 30-06 made in belgium assembled in portugal, manufactured in 1983. problem is that every 7-8 rounds a casing gets caught in the action, assume its the extractor but not sure, any suggestions???

Browning BAR rifles sometimes have tight chambers.

My own 1969-vintage BAR in .30-06 displays that tendency, so I make sure I use small-base sizing dies when making handloads for it. If you're running factory fresh ammo, it's the luck of the draw, although they usually stay to the smaller side of SAAMI dimensions.

It is due, however in the past, that didnt seem to matter.
now that i think about it,it has always dented the casings to..I have another bar belgium made mark 3 that is flawless, shoots straight as all hell and no problems in 15 yrs...this other one is not much fun, unless I can fix it...
not sure of a decent smith around here.....

friend of mine owns the gun, has no internet access at this time. was recently field stripped and looked at supposedly fixed by a local smith...whe he asked the smith why the neck of the casing was always dented..was told that alot of brownings do that...70$ later and still not right...
