Ban ?

I was talking to an employee at the local gun shop... and we were talking about laws etc.. or what and might change. He was telling me that he had herd they might ban.. or tax people with AR type rifles... assualt or hicap mag rifles... ... does anyone know anything about this.. I was going to purchase a new AR and not build one.. but this has got me thinking.. he also mentioned 50 bmg???
 
Unfortunately, I don't think there's enough information to render a proper opinion. I'd say it's unlikely in any election year that new gun control laws will be passed by congress, but the antis are always whining about something.

On the other hand, if we elect a left-of-center government, new gun controls are almost a certainty in the first off-year. That gives you a full year to make your purchase, by my reckoning.

Of course, don't forget to work to elect a government that won't pass any new laws and you won't have to worry about it.
