Ballistic Trajectories

I know that on a rifle, the sights are set to a point in the path of the round. Since the path of the round is curved, there is actually 2 points in the curve where the sights are "Dead On".

On a M-16 the points are something like 32 feet and 300 yards.

Now the question. Where can I find the curves on something like my Compact .45. At the range I was shooting at 7 yards and the round would hit right under the point of aim. But at 15 the round seemed to be hitting at or above the point of aim. Where can I find the ballistic tables for a 230 gn .45 acp from a 3.5 inch barrel.

Most reloading manuals have ballistics tables in them, showing the trajectories for bullets at varying ranges.

I know the Hornady manual has this information.

One of those should probably be your first stop.
