Ball or HP for my Semi's???

So what bullets should I reload my 9mm and .45 with? The cost is within 1.1 cents per round, HP vs ball and the guns seem to group both of them pretty much the same. I'll be using it for target practice and a home gun, no CCW etc.

Whats your preference? I like to have a ship load of HP on hand but the frugal part of me likes saving 11 bucks per thousand on the ball.

On average how much on hand stock do most TLF'ers keep for their handguns? Loaded rounds, empty brass and bullets.

My wife seems to think I've got way too much inventory on hand, about 1,000 loaded 9mm, and only about 500 .45. Seems to me this is about 1/4 of what I should have. Some weeks I'm shooting 500-600 rounds and spending the rest of the time handloading.

Not sure if this primarily a reloading post or semi-auto handgun post, guess I'll let the moderators decide.;)

Save even more !

If you really want to save money shoot cast, I don't know what they cost in your area but I pay about $ 32 a 1000 for 200 gr swc .45s. If you will go with slower burning powders leading should not be a big deal.
Has for the wife thinking you have to much on hand, get her into shooting and that should go away.:D
