My wife God bless her. She got me a baikal mp210. My parker was lost in a fire. I have not shot this yet it is very stiff. dose anyone know anything about them. good, bad or otherwise.

Years ago now, when the Baikals started showing up on these shores, their IZH-43 SXS was reviewed by American Rifleman as part of an article about budget SXSs. It was recommended as a best buy. I bought one. It is very similar to the current MP 210.
I still have it. It is a serviceable, field grade SXS. It is a stiff opener - very stiff at first but better with time; it'll probably never match your lost Parker. I don't know how long this gun will last but it shows no signs of wear. I occasionally take it out to shoot Trap and stay proficient with it (it has 26" barrels. Should have gotten 28")

I have ones in 20 and 28 gauge. I sold the 12 gauge I had, too unweildy for my taste. For some reason Baikal stocks these guns with a short LOP. I put a slip-on pad on mine, and they fit and shoot well. Check out the Baikal subforum on Shotgunworld.com. Lots of Baikal info. Mark

they remind me of an AK-47. Pretty rough and a bit on the ugly side, but durable as a Russian T-38 tank and just as tough...
