I have had mine since 94+- bought it used. They guy who sold it wanted a browning lever 22. I have only shot long rifle ammo (mostly rem. viper) in the gun and have had no problems. I do not use shorts or longs. Accuaraccy has been very good for me. Just post your questions and I or someone will try to answer them. I don't know how much experiance you have with firearms but asking for opionions on them is like a chinese firedrill. There is a school of thought that says if it wasn't avialable by 1950 it must not be good.
This is my experiance with the rifle in question. I Still say find a used one and try it out. If you don't like it you can always sell it and not lose too much with used.
