Bad trigger pull on S&W40VE

I have had the pistol for about a year and can't stand the trigger pull on it. It has not gotten any better like some said it would. It feels like it has about a 10lbs trigger pull, (I know its not that much but it seems like it) Anyone know how to adjust it?

I called S&W about the trigger on a Sigma 9mm (because I kept reading about the wonderful FREE S&W trigger job) and was told there was nothing they could do. Maybe in days gone by they would fix these triggers, but not any more.

Stay with it. I am told they smooth out over time, but if you keep a firm grip, concentrate on your sight picture and pull the trigger straight back- the results will be equally good.

I can do good on a target with it but you have to take your time. I like the gun, very easy to take apart and clean accuarate, just a very heavy trigger.

I actually like the 40VE's long 'heavy' pull and just treat it like a DA revolver. They can be shot well enough in a hurry in that manner.

Good results are indeed possible if you slow down a little;

I find that to be pretty much the case whatever I'm shooting. More on a recent example, here.

I have one going on 8years now it took a trip to the factory, It left a 9c & came back a S&WE. It's been back sence '06 & I've put a ton of ammo down range with NO PROBLEMS knock on wood & thank God I reload ; )
