My Colt 1911 Governement has been fantastic. It has been totally reliable without any malfunctions. It also has been extremely accurate. I don't need to spend any more money on a boutique 1911.
Very nice!! I detailed stripped (the slide anyway), cleaned and lubed it thouroughly and it is getting its first trip to the range today. I will post my report on it when I get back.
Very nice! I've been drooling over their Gov. Model in their ad in this month's American Rifleman. I had an original 1911A1 Colt for many years and sold it . . . now I regret it . . but you know what they say about "hind sight". :roll eyes:
What else can be said? Nice hand guns and great photos!
Believe it or not, it took this long to make it to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through it.. What is there to say really, smooth, accurate and fun to look at. Don't let that significant other in your life shoot your 1911, she/he will try to reappropriate it if given the chance.... I was'nt impressed with the two malfunctions within the first 50 rounds, both double feeds when I released the slide on full magazines to chamber a round but it was flawless for the remaining 150 or so rounds.
