Thank you and yep, getting the rebate rolling. I am looking forward to seeing how well it shoots. I have shot numerous 1911's but never a full size.

Ahhhhhh.............It's like a Rockwell painting..........you can just stare at it in amazement for hours..........

Bought my Colt several years ago. It's been rock solid, dependable. I actually carry it concealed quite often, assuming I'm not in my speedo.

My Colt 1911 Governement has been fantastic. It has been totally reliable without any malfunctions. It also has been extremely accurate. I don't need to spend any more money on a boutique 1911.

Very nice!! I detailed stripped (the slide anyway), cleaned and lubed it thouroughly and it is getting its first trip to the range today. I will post my report on it when I get back.

Very nice! I've been drooling over their Gov. Model in their ad in this month's American Rifleman. I had an original 1911A1 Colt for many years and sold it . . . now I regret it . . but you know what they say about "hind sight". :roll eyes:

What else can be said? Nice hand guns and great photos! :)

Lets see.
It says COLT.
It's a 1911.
Its YOURS.
The only negative I see is how long you have to wait for your next 1911.
Congrats.

Believe it or not, it took this long to make it to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through it.. What is there to say really, smooth, accurate and fun to look at. Don't let that significant other in your life shoot your 1911, she/he will try to reappropriate it if given the chance...:D. I was'nt impressed with the two malfunctions within the first 50 rounds, both double feeds when I released the slide on full magazines to chamber a round but it was flawless for the remaining 150 or so rounds.
