    1. Copying and pasting entire articles from another site to TFL is strictly prohibited. The same applies to articles from print or other media, and to posting photographs taken of copyrighted pages or other media.

    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Bad movie alert

Moderators, before you pop a cap on this thread, howzabout an "entertainment" forum? We tend to like this sorta thing?

Now for the bad movie...

John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars

Pros:
Good soundtrack (Anthrax, Vai, Buckethead (?)).
Good scenery (Natasha!)
Lots of shooting and stuff blowing up.
At least one "full woo"

Cons:
Not much of a thought-out story.
Nasty action sequences with blown up folks flying through the air, etc., look like something from a really bad 1970's karate flick or the $#*&$ A-Team...
Not much of a thought-out story.
Chrome guns?
Not much of a thought-out story.
Your basic swarm of mutant zombies just didn't work for me.
Not much of a thought-out story.
Not enough attention to shooting and stuff blowing up.
Not much of a thought-out story.
Several "almost-woos" where they've got two guns but don't really seem to know what to do.
Not much of a thought-out story.

I think Carpenter owed a studio a flick, and he coasted through this thing... The "how they did it" DVD stuff was cool tho...

You need to get out to the range more, Bogie.;)

Moving to SQ&F, where we make suggestions, ask questions and receive feedback.

Actually an Off Topic section would be a nice addition to TFL. I'm one of the moderators over at the Infiltration Forums and having the OT forum is a great place to move those threads that just don't seem to fit anywhere.

Also as people get to know each other in the forum they inevitably want to talk about the latest movie they saw or car they just bought or annoying habits of cafe waitresses or other stuff.

It can be a good tool for community building

Gun related Entertainment has been a staple of GENERAL...
Stop putting those in General and all you'll have left in there are posts about Fud's Gators and threads that should be or are duplicates in Legal/Political.
