bad bear encounters video

I've seen both those videos before and they are very good. The first one where the guys are rafting down river, I was expecting something like that. When you run across a group of cubs like that you have to wonder where mom is. Luckily the gunshot was able to turn the charge, don't know if I would have just discharged one shot into the water however.

The second video, that is a little different story. I think that the guide was very experienced, able to keep his head and do what he needed to do to protect his client. However I do think they all focused in on the first bear a little too much because if you watch the video you can see the second bear in the background. I'm not saying that would have changed the outcome of what happened, but they should have been aware of that second bear.

I don't think anyone should ever hunt alone or without telling someone where they are at. When away from the usual stomping grounds especially you need to have a hunting buddy. Just in case something happens, and it doesn't have to be a bear attack.

Interesting bear encounters! Im an advid bear hunter and just giving you guys a glimpse in to what can happen while hunting bears.

I don't believe they were hunting bears in the first video. I have to wonder if the guy actually intended to shoot the water in front of the bear, or if due to the motion of the raft or excitment, the shot was low. I don't think I would be making warning shots during a charge and at that range given that the shooter was the only one working to fend off the bear.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "warning shot" was intended for the bear (rafting vid). It's hard to tell exactly what you'd do in a given situation, I think I wouldn't fire warning shots at that range but... Who knows.

I like the idea of living. p.s. how far back did you have to flip to find this, I posted this 2 months ago.
