Backup/Ultra-small CCW

My CCW is a Glock 27, but there are times when even that is too big. Can anyone recommend a backup/ultra-small CCW?

Thanks.

Your choices are .32 caliber:

1) Kel-Tec P-32 http://www.kel-tec.com Also see http://www.goldenloki.com

2) North American Arms Guardian http://www.naaminis.com
It is made now .380 but is larger/heavier than the .32

3) Beretta Tomcat

4) Seecamp (hard to find/expensive generally)

In .25 caliber:

1) Beretta 950 Jetfire

2) Beretta 21 Bobcat (also available in .22)

There are others, these are the most commonly used ones.

There has been plenty of discussion on all of these guns. Use the search function to find some past threads on them.

Don't forget the Makarov

Same size as most .380s with a little more punch...but probably the most bang for your buck you can get :)

A Kahr MK9 is about as large in terms of height and length, but is significantly thinner. So I can fit my MK9 in a pocket (using a pocket holster), but I can't do that with a Glock 26/27. If that's still too big, then you're getting into mouse-gun territory -- NAA Guardian, Keltec P32, etc.

Went through the same thing very recently. Ended up w/ a Beretta Jetfire 25acp. So far, VERY good. I've only had it a couple of weeks and I'm still getting over the fact that it is still a VERY VERY small round. Still kinda leary. But its function has been flawless over the 1st 150 rounds.

I like the Kel Tec, though I wish I could figure a way to trade it in on a titanium Taurus. I just got a lanyard for it, which presents all sort of cool ideas for easy carry. Before it I used to have a Beretta 22 Bobcat but in the humidity the 22 ammo would misfire if it wasn't fresh.

The nice theing about either one is that you can buy 2 or 3 of them for the price of one Seecamp.

There is one gun I've fired once but they are hard to find and that is a Raven .25. I didn't really get to assess it well, but it worked every time for the box of ammo we shot up that afternoon.

I use a Kel-Tec P32 as backup to my G27. Like it a lot.

Another vote for the KelTec P32

I gave up on the M27 for CCW (its such a fat little bugger). Now I stick to either the Kahr MK9 or KelTec P32 for my CCW weapons.

I have an Accu-tek bl 9, its smaller than a Kahr. Holds 5+1 of
9 mm. It has no sights and every corner is rounded. It is heavy
being a steel gun. Its a nice little gun, accurate for its design and
intented use. Reasonably priced also. Just my 2 cents

I'll suggest another option,,,I have a Sig 239 .40 and a NAA Guardain .32...and love them both and carry them both, depending on the situation....but I also have a Kel Tec p11 9mm that really seems to fill that void...more fire power and amount of rounds than either of the others..smaller and lighter than the SIG..actually about the same as the NAA Guardian in weight. And a 9mm instead of the .32...just throwing it out as a option.
