Backorder?

So we just exchanged Christmas gifts. And you people need to quit buying my stuff! I gave my dad a wish list. Every year he complains we don't tell him what we want, so he has to give us cash to give us anything. This year, I went out and made a wish list for him at Cabelas. And by the time he went shopping for something for me, everything I had on the wishlist was out of stock, but backorderable.

The Thumlers Tumbler has a projected availabiltiy of 9-10 weeks. I don't know how long it'll take for Hornady to get another Classic Deluxe kit out the door to Cabelas. (IT's out at Midway too.).

On the bright side, Midway did finally get some Omega 7.0's back in stock. Annoyingly, they didn't email me to let me know like they said they would.

Is it super nuts this year? Or is this normal and I wasn't paying attention last year?

My Goodness Jim, Where have you been this last week? There have been literally tens of thousands of posts on all the gun related forums about multiple hour long lines at the gun stores, internet sites going down, and outrageous prices being made on auction sites because of the traffic after the Conn. incident. Many things have been out for a whole week parts and ammo related and may not be back in stock for many months. Where exactly do you live? I want to live there too!

Yep. Been crazy regarding gun sales and such. Plenty of other discussions talking how bad it is so there's no reason to let another rant fest go on on another thread.
