What is it and how much to perform?
I am looking to reduce recoil on a Stoeger o/u 12 gauge....My left should is black and blue after 75 shot at the trap range!

I wouldnt back bore the stoeger my experience with one was poor enough to not warrant buying one. No offense but i would save money and get a used citori.

I dont know what shells you used but I know alot of people seem to be bother by 1 1/8oz 3 dram loads. If thats what you used try some lighter loads like a 1 1/8oz 2 3/4 dram load or even better yet a 1oz or possibly a 7/8oz shell. When the amount of shot or velocity...or both is reduced recoil will go down. My trap load is 1 1/8oz of magnum #7.5 shot at 1200fps (3 dram load) but then I have a somewhat heavy BT-99 that patterns great with this load. I also dont mind recoil...maybe because of the extra padding...read weight I have :)

If the shotgun you're talking about is a Stoeger Condor they seem like nice guns. A friend got one and shoots really well with it and has never had any trouble what so ever with it. For chokes try the mod choke in the barrel that shoots first and a full choke in the barrel that fires second. Also, to make the wood on that gun shine my friend took Turtle Wax Hardshell and rubbed it on, let it dry then rubbed it off with a clean cloth. It really made the wood look nice and shiny.

Invest in a good recoil pad such as the Limbsaver or Pachmyer Decelerator.Make sure the stock is the proper length for you.
