Baby Eagle Guide Rod

I would like to replace the captive recoil spring and guide rod in my IMI Baby Eagle, preferably with a non-captive rod. Does anyone know a source for either a captive or a non-captive recoil spring guide for this pistol?

Bob, did you try Wolfe Springs, They would be
the only ones I could think of.
Is this a 9mm or .40 How does it shoot, are you having a particular problem with it that you want to change these parts out? I have a 9mm Baby Eagle and haven't had it to the range yet. Just wondering what I could expect
Thanks :)

Hi loknload,

It's a 9mm, works very well, and has around 2500 rounds on a Sprinco unit. The factory recoil guide is captive, so changing that spring would be a challenge. this one also has 1500 to 2000 rounds on it. No problems, but i normally change springs every 2000 to 2500 rounds.

It is the frame mounted safety version, so can be carried cocked and locked, and has an excellent trigger as DA auto's go. Very picky about ammo for accuracy, will feed most anything.

Only negative is that it is heavy for the caliber, whcih also means it is very controlable, even with +P's.

Thanks Bob for the info. Now I know what to expect when I finally get it to the range. To many guns and not enough time to shoot em :)
