I have a Belgium made Baby Browning.
There are on it some markings I am not sure about. On the front of the slide, located about 7 o'clock there is the following"
" + over an S over a winged horse over PV"

On the rear of the barrel, visible through the ejection port there is the follwowing "W over a winged horse over PV"

There is also something similar to the US Ordnance bomb with E over LG over a star in it.

What might the date of manufacture be - serial no. 391220 over the letterS
Can anyone interperet these for me?

The "ordnance bomb" is really a crown over an oval with E L G (star) and is the long time basic Belgian proof mark. The "winged horses" over PV are Belgian nitro proof marks. The letters over the proof marks are the inspectors' initials. That serial number dates to 1965.
