My parents love my wife. They just don't have the normal in-law relationship. Dad, in particular, loves Missy. Mostly, it just drives him up a wall that I married a woman who likes to shoot and kept an open mind even though she was scared of guns.
Well, the other day Missy and I were at their house before dad got home from work, and mom told us about the night before, when they'd gone to Wal-Mart or someplace. Dad commented that he wanted to look at handgun ammo and see if there was any on sale. Now, dad doesn't shoot handguns more than once every ten years or so, so mom asked sweetly, "Awwwww, are you gonna buy bullets for your widdle baby boy?"
Dad puffed his chest out and said proudly, "Of course not! I'm just buying ammunition for my daughter-in-law."
