availibility of Glock 36

There are only supposed to be about 4000 in the US right now, and no spare mags outside of what came with the weapon.

However, I've seen about a dozen at gun shows here in Knoxville so I question how unavailable they really are.

there's one at my local gun dealer today. its been there for about 3 weeks so its not very popular i would assume. i held it today along with a G30 and liked the G30 more.

buzz_knox, go to www.glockworks.com they have more G36 mags at a reasonable price.

Craigs Firearms in Knoxville TN has about 40 G36's. Don't know if they have any spare mags or not.

I saw two, to be sold as a set, at a local store. These two have consecutive serial numbers. I personally prefer the G30, the grip is better for my large hands. After seeing them at a few local stores now makes me wonder how "rare" these really are.

In Southern California, I've seen them at three different shops... One G36 has been sitting in the dealer's display case for almost 3 weeks now... I've haven't been back to the other dealers to see how they were selling... Regardless, none of the dealers had extra mags. I asked about that...

Jeez. I'm in the southeast on the gulf coast, and dealers laugh at me around here when I call and ask about one. Weird. I have a G30, magnificent piece, just a little thick. Also have a G26, but prefer the .45. Also think the possibility of a flush 5 rd. mag in the 36 sounds neat. I have never tried buying on the 'net, I guess if I found one, they could send it to a local dealer?
