AutoPistol slide surfaces

Howdy! I'm fairly new, so excuse my ignorance: some of the mateing surfaces on the rails of my NIB CZ 75 B look a little rough.
No problems with functions, but would it be A:) Good idea to use Flitz polish or Semichrome or even fine sandpaper to smooth these
surfaces?, or B.) "Don't even think about it. Also, on the right side of the frame rail, above the trigger area, there are 3 "dots" in the metal. They appear to be intentional. Anyone ever see this before?

Thanks from a Newbie!

Can't speak to the three dots, but don't, DON'T mess with the gun's mating surfaces or with the finish for that matter...no lapping compounds, no stoning, no sandpaper...

many of those rough mill marks will go away on their own after a proper break-in...those marks that survive the break-in period are not doing anything anyway

Please leave it be...

NO TOUCH!

Got the message...no touch, just shoot the bugger like an sob!

If I could only decipher the mystery of the three dots.....

mystery dots

Hey, Joe

Is "hardness testing" common on autoloading pistols slide areas?
Thanks for your input
