Any one know anything about these BIG pistols ??? Guy I know brought me one he wants too sell and I`ve never ran across one before..Markings are...

TDE Auto-Mag
.44APM Model 180
El Monte, Calif
Factory box, no foam, no paper work, dies or brass..
The gun looks pretty nice, but the barrel seems a little loose on the frame, also inside the frame by the right recoil spring tunnel, the steel is cut through, you can see the spring..I`d like too help him sell it but need too know if these flaws are normal, and what a fair price would be. See them on GA for $1900 and up is this correct??? Thanks for any help...Oh yea he don`t want too trade for your Jennings/Hi-Point, so on.......

Sounds like a pretty beat upon El Monte.

The automags go mostly by the location of manufacture. Mine is a pasedena version and it does not have the problems you describe.

This should be your first place to start looking for automag information.

There does not look to be any close to yours, but the going rate for a good one is about $2500 and for a shooter around $2000.

I cannot tell you much about shooting it. Mine is unfired in the original box and shipping info. 100% original. I bought it to shoot it, but because of the collector's value could never pull the trigger.

Good luck.
