Looks like another device to help you bump-fire. There have been similar designs in the past, probably the most well known is the "Hell Fire" system. There are letters from The Man stating that they are legal, but don't forget about the infamous shoelace machinegun. They could declare it illegal tomorrow, or you could get caught with it when someone sees or hears you shooting and calls the law and then have to prove that it is indeed a legal device. In my opinion an ammo waster.
 
Yes it's legal, it's also junk. If it wasn't junk it probably wouldn't be legal. If you want to bumpfire save the $35 bucks and just bumpfire the old fashion way.

I'm ashamed to say I bought one of those back before we were allowed to have MG's here in MI. It's cheap tin parts bend out of shape when you try to adjust it. Trust me, it's junk.
 
I've never used one, but I've heard they are all pretty much junk. FA fire is pretty much useless except for a very few applications that most of us will never see. It sure is fun, though:D

At any rate, as fun as FA fire is I can't afford it. Well, maybe on a .22 but I don't think a bump fire device would work on a 22. After all, it uses the recoil to pull the trigger faster than what would otherwise be possible. Since .22s have virtually no recoil I wouldn't think that it would work. IDK, you may get it to but I wouldn't waste the money.
 
I was told by an ATF agent last week that those are now considered NFA items. Apparently, GAT triggers, Hellfire and anything of the sort is now illegal. He mentioned that the crank mechanisms were OK, but stuff like this apparently constitutes modification.

I'll see if I can find the relevant memo and I'll post it here.
 
Well its not on the ATFs website that I know of... But the devices don't work all that well.

now the akins device and the awsims are regulated by the NFA, but that is because they actually work as a machine gun.
