Hey guys, I'm looking at putting a SPARC red dot on my Rock River's flattop and co-witnessing it with the fixed front sight and Magpul MBUS rear. Does anyone need if I need any adapters or rings than what already comes with the sight? Is there a particular rail position recommending for mounting the sight at?

Thanks

Lots of folks co-witness with the irons in the lower 1/3 of the scope, or there abouts. It is a preference issue. Between the full size riser and the additional 1/8" riser, you should be fine.

Using the riser mount that comes with the SPARC and using sights that sit at the same height as the standard AR sights or even the MBUS sights, you will co-witness fine. I've had no problem.

I just put one on my RRA and using the LaRue QD mount that came with my SPARC it was a dead center co-witness. If I need to use just the SPARC I just fold down the irons.

I bought one largely in part because of Sturmgewehr's youtube review. The reviews he does are some of if not the best reviews I've come across on youtube. I think my search for a low-cost, high-value optic and a decent alternative to the higher priced trij/eo/ap of the world is over. Seems like the best deal going on an optic. I am going to get a Strikefire next, I think.

Thanks CC. I just received a new generation (red dot only, not red and green) Vortex StrikeFire that I will be reviewing in the next week or so. So far, I like it and it's even more affordable than the SPARC.

Hopefully you used the code I gave you in my video for the SPARC and ordered through 3 Rivers Precision. At $179 you can't beat the price with the Military Arms Channel discount they're offering.
