(Moderators, yes, this is off topic, but please bear with me.)

I need help from watch collectors, finding sites that have technical info about watches.

Having been recently bitten by the watch bug, I want to learn more.

I found timezone.com, but the info there isn't so much for newbies.

(Anyone own an Oris Classic?)

Thanks, -Kframe

Go to: www.Google.com and search on [ wrist watch ] (no quotes).

You will get scads of threads on watch collecting.

Now. Bearing with you for a very short time, how is this related to TFL?

Uhhhh....you need a watch so you know
1. When the range opens
2. When the gun store opens
3. When it's offical daylight (before taking that shot)
4. just because ;)

Be on time for RKBA events.

Be on time for MMM events, mole duty.

Be there when the polls open with my truck, covered with Oleg's posters.

Authenticate the pocket watch that is displayed with my 1854 Smith caseless repeater.....I wish.

I look at Mickey and think of shooting, reminds me to practice.

Sam...cantankerous, confustipated, ol coot.

Yeeeeeaaaah, that's the ticket!!!

So I know when to get the range to shoot my GUNS.

Actually, Dennis, it seems like the same kind of people that are really into guns are also into other fine mechanical/complex/precision things like: race cars, aircraft, motorcycles, watches, quality tools (micrometers, calipers...), and on and on....

So, I figured that this would be a perfect place to ask.

I'd like to get a few more responses, but go ahead and lock it down when it gets to a dozen replies or so.

Thanks, -Kframe

The *key* there is the “on and on” part.

*Any* subject can be related to guns in the manner you suggest.
- We could use cars, aircraft, motorcycles, boats, etc. to travel to gun-related events.
- Good guns are precision tools requiring quality tools to maintain them.
- Vacuum cleaners must be properly filtered when use to clean gun rooms to prevent dust
from endangering the working parts of a precision firearm ....
- and on and on.

Sorry, boys. That don’t hack it.

Continue in the Range House, by e-mail or other means.
