On Wednesday,May 31 in Gonzales Texas, home of the "Come And Take It" tradition,
Congressman Ron Paul is hosting a Stand Up For Your Second Amendment Rally. It
will be held at 6:30 pm in the Randall-Rather Building on the NE corner of the
Square.

In addition, if you would like to participate in the $100/couple private
reception to help with Congressman Paul's campaign please attend at 5:30 and meet and greet Congressman Paul and Congressional Majority Leader, Dick Armey. Please RSVP your attendance to the private reception at 888-456-8683.

NRA and TSRA representatives will be present.

This man is by far our best friend in the House. We must not let him down. We all need to show him our support.

Is it worth it to you? Can you get out of work a bit early and make the drive to show your support? Please, make plans to attend. Get your friends involved.

How about you Texians talking to Paul to see if he will sponsor legislation to clean up NICS - something like absolving dealers from a sale if the system is down NOW. No waiting periods, no nada.

NICS should be held to the same standards as, say, an airline reservation system, or on-line stock trading, i.e. you just DON'T go offline and you don't pull "routine" maintenance on weekends or during working hours.

I don't see Paul starting such legislation.

The bills he put forward REPEAL NICS.

He may have philosophical problems with fixing something that should not be there.

(Not speaking for the guy, just a guess).

Fantastic congressman on a LOT of - actually, pretty much ALL, issues.

I'll be there. I've been itching to meet Dr. Paul for the last 3 years. My parents have had him over for supper, and they've gone to all his shin-digs, and they don't even realize what a national treasure he is. They just like him because he's a republican.

I'm not sure what I'll be wearing. I probably will try to dress respectful of the dignity the man deserves. I don't own a TFL shirt :o, but I'll try to remedy that for the next time. I don't even know if my wife is planning to attend with me or not. She has a family function in Houston, so she'll probably not care to go. If you think of somthing, let me know, and we can post it here to notify others.
