Atlanta Journal On-Line Debate

The Atlanta Journal Constitution is hosting an on-line debate about gun control. While Georgia is pretty gun friendly as a whole there are a lot of anti-gun folks around the city of Atlanta. When they have had these debates in the past I have been amazed at the number of people who have no concern whatsoever about the Constitution and personal freedom. They want to impose their will on those around them with no regard for logic or the law and seem to operate simply on emotion.

Many of you post some very articulate and well thought out points, so if you would like to post a comment in support of the Second Amendment or simply read what others are saying I have included the link below.

I have a real problem with calling victims of violence "sheep." We don't need to sink to that.

The rebuttal comes from Alice Johnson, who runs a "group" called Georgians for Gun Safety. I put quotes around "group" because as far as I can tell, she's the only member. They haven't updated their website in over five years, and what little funding she got from a Joyce Foundation shill called Join Together dried up in 2004.

She occasionally shows up to yell at the legislature about gun laws, but nobody seems to pay her much heed.
