Well, apparently a group held a gun rights rally at the GA State Capital in Atlanta. I heard about it about a day or two before it happened, but not sure I would have attended even if my schedule allowed. The media reported that about 80 people showed up. As we've discussed before I'm not sure attempting these grass roots type rallies are going to really help that much. Also, for some reason we just don't photograph very well.
In my opinion something more akin to a national "Take a Friend shooting Day" or something where the NRA and the various industry groups coordinated efforts with manufacturers, retailers and ranges around the country. Large places could hold large events and the smaller shops could hold small events. Offer free stuff, discounts, free basic gun safety training, free food etc.
