Bet that cost a pretty penny.

Sadly many years ago I let a 4 inch stainless Python slip through my fingers.

Promised my wife I would not spend the $400 I picked up... and dang... a good friend was selling his for, you guessed it, $400.

Oh, well...

Thanks people, glad you like it. I really have lusted after a Python since the first one I ever shot in the UK in 1970-something.

It is Stainless and shiny, I just tried to get a photo without all the light glaring off it.

As for price, I payed $1800NZ which is $1500US and the guy I bought it from at the club still has a blued unfired one for sale if anyone has a spare $3000NZ ($2600US).

Seeing as I'm going to shoot it I really do need to get a more comfortable set of grips, even if the ones on it are originals, they just feel too big and very plastic... I'll keep the originals but not to shoot with.

Cheers and thanks

Very nice pistol, congratulations. I put a set of Pachmayr grips - just like yours - on mine and they were too bulky also, ordered a set of Hogue's and they've been perfect for the last 20 years. Have put Hogue's on other revolvers too as they work extremely well.

Guess you are done

You've got your 'grail' gun. Now you can take up another hobby:)

Sweet. The price is actually lower than I expected a snake in that condition to set you back.
Beautiful

Thanks to all for the very kind comments.

"You've got your 'grail' gun. Now you can take up another hobby"????

I got all these as well over the last month (except the rifle) so I think I'll be doing more reloading and cleaning of Black Powder residue than anything... another hobby... very doubtful, except I will be buying a decent astronomical telescope soon as that is another hobby I do have, the skies are just so clear here it would be a shame not to upgrade my 4.5" reflector to something a little larger.
