assembly instructions

I inherited a CVA 1861 Colt Navy in kit form from my dad. It was missing many of the small parts which I have replaced. I am missing the step by step assembly instructions. I would like to finish this gun but I don't want to make any mistakes especially with the moving parts. If anyone has the instructions or knows where I can find them I would be very thankful.

There's many diagrams on this site, even though this isn't the right one:

Also, click on how to disassemble:

There's also a schematic for the CVA 1851 Navy at Gun parts corp.:

You might be able to try Dixie Gun Works (because they sell some kits), or Traditions, or one of the other major distributors of kit guns for general assembly instructions (Taylor's Guns, or Cimmaron).

Deer Creek Products, Waldron, Indiana, bought out all of the CVA parts, you could try them too: telephone 765-525-6181

Maybe try Ebay or the gun auction sites (gunbroker, auctionarms).

Or have someone with experience build the gun.
