I basically asked the following.

"Why do you support gun registration of law abiding firearms owners? You seek to have photo IDs and liscensing of gun owners. Liscensing has historically lead to registration which leads to confiscation. As history shows this leaves the populace defenseless against perpetrators ect."

I highly doubt it will get answered! :D

Try to take away my gun...and you will see my 2nd Amendment Right in ACTION!!! -Me

The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crime. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Thomas Jefferson

How many of Pres. Clinton's Cabinet can't vote for you because they are convicted felons?

I KNOW that won't get an answer.

I asked him if I were to give up my guns, would he give up his secret service protection? And, do you think your life is more important to you than mine is to me?
Of course, I know it won't be asked.

My question:

The Justice department is currently arguing in federal court, (In the Emerson case.) that Americans have no right at all to own any sort of firearm, and that the government could confiscate every privately owned gun in the country without violating anyone's rights. You, on the other hand, have recently taken to claiming that you support the Second amendment right of Americans to own guns. Do you plan to order the Justice department to reverse it's position, and start defending the right of Americans to own guns, instead of attacking it?

Sic semper tyrannis!

My question is below - though I'll probably faint dead away from surprise if it ever got asked on any mainstream media program.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Vice-President Gore,
During the debates you repeatedly claimed to support the "Second Amendment rights of hunters and sportsmen". To my knowledge, the Second Amendment says nothing about hunters or sportsmen and your own Justice Department claims "In light of the constitutional history, it must be considered as settled that there is no personal constitutional right, under the Second Amendment, to own or to use a gun." Can you please explain this contradiction?
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Vice President Gore:

In the debates, you mentioned that you would preserve the rights of hunters and
sportsmen to use firearms. Why did you exclude the right of the American People to use firearms to defend themselves against violent crime?
If enough of us ask, maybe they'll have to address it. :)

It might be a good idea to copy and paste the address rather than clicking on it, because ABC might be tracking the referring URL. Wouldn't want them to think that a bunch of wackos from some gun forum are ganging up on them or anything like that . . . ;)

Oh, never mind. I just saw that this was supposed to be for this morning's show.
